it's done

It is done. I finished warping the loom. I had lunch had a hot bath had an Advil then I went back to threading heddles. I made myself finish or It would be long time before I got back to weaving. To all you fabulous weavers out there, does anyone have any suggestions or favourite warping methods?

  1. Hi!

I'm sorry this warp was so tough for you!! So far, I've used both the front to back and back to front methods in Deborah Chandler's Learning to Weave. I may have picked up some tips along the way from other weavers in real life or online. So I can't say either that I'm a fabulous weaver, or that I really have a warping method yet.

For me, just getting the warp on the loom with even tension is often a challenge. I've started making notes so that I can keep doing what's working without having to refer back to the whole giant writeup in those books.

I know that I've seen different blog posts where people talk about their warping method....and of course people who recommend Ashendon, Ostercamp and probably other book methods of warping.

    Anyway, glad you persevered!

    Sue
